Dongmei Li suing everyone in sight over iPhone price drop
One of the latest stupid lawsuits is from Dongmei Li, a disgruntled customer who bought a 4GB iPhone on launch day, only to see her beloved new phone become discontinued a couple of months later.
She claims that she was only offered the $100 rebate whereas those who bought iPhones two weeks prior to the price cut got $200 cash back. She, instead, was left with an “unsellable, discontinued iPhone model”.
She’s suing everyone she can, by the looks of things: Steve Jobs, Apple, and AT&T are all accused.
How much is she after? Oh, just a cool $1m in compensatory damages. Greedy? No, this is a totally legit case, right?
I’m surprised she’s not also suing because she caught a cold while waiting in line outside the store on June 29th.
