Apple to lower iPhone production by 40%
According to an analysis firm, Apple could reduce its production of the iPhone by up to forty percent this quarter due to a slowing of consumer spending. Friedman, Billings Ramsey & Co analyst Craig Berger wrote, “Apple is a good proxy for broader consumer demand given that it has the hottest, sleekest, most desirable products. That the firm’s iPhone production plans are being revised lower suggests that the global macroeconomic weakness is impacting even high-end consumers.
