Samsung recently launched its latest touchscreen mobile phone, the i8910 HD. The title hints at one of its main features – the ability to view, shoot, and output high definition video. How does it shape up against the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3G S? Read on to find out.

The Samsung i8910 HD has a look not dissimilar to the LG Viewty Smart II, with slightly more curves in the screen than the iPhone 3G/iPhone 3G S, and with physical buttons underneath the screen. The iPhone 3G and iPhone 3G S are slightly thinner and smaller than the Samsung i8910 HD, at 115.5 x 62.1 x 12.3mm versus 123 x 59 x 12.9mm. The i8910 HD is quite a heavy beast, at 671g compared to the iPhone 3G at 133g and iPhone 3G S at 135g.

Last night, I spent hours on a new poker application on the Iphone and it is great!

I was always a bit cautious about playing poker in casinos or even with friends because I never really knew if I was good at it. I always wondered where all these people were training to become so good. Well, now I found the perfect tool for that my Iphoneâ€¦

There are several applications worth the try, such as Poker Texas Holdâ€™em, Absolute Poker or Zinga Poker live is excellent. You can play without spending a fortune and you can train as much as you like to become a real pro.

The best thing is that you get lots of advice and tricks and you really can improve very quickly. I did! You can also choose who to play against, real people, your friends or very realistic players.

Impressive a medical search engine on your iPhone

MedTango.com has developped an iPhone version of their Medical Search Engine that is very impressive. It contains all the information that are in the web version of the web application, but totally adapted to the iPhone. Very good job from the team behind it.

Your iPhone is also automatically detected apparently, I guess the iPod Touch as well.

MedTango is also available on Android, I’ve just tested on my Google Nexus One, and it looks the same as on the iPhone.

McGraw-Hill’s CEO confirmed that the new Tablet device from Apple would be based on iPhone OS. That’s a big relief for all developers on iPhone and iPod Touch who would be able to continue work on the SDK and release on both platforms.

Apparently, the iTablet will have the iPhone OS 3.2 as a start, let’s see tonight for the official launch!!!
